Throughout these years we have done hundreds of advertisement campaigns always with the aim of positioning Costa del Sol as a unique touristic reference of quality.
Goals
- To position the brand Costa del Sol, in several destinations, as “turism of quality”.
- To give Marbella more visibility in different tourist segments and to make the brand more professional.
- To communicate the brand identity with all its custom elements and MVP.
- Streamlined creative support in events.
Challenges
- To find distinctive elements that can compete with other popular destinations.
- To manage the demand in truly short time frames.
- To cover all the phases of the strategy and planning of the campaign from ideation to execution of the final product.
- To work with target audiences, segments, and different hyper-specialised messages.
Different segments
Costa del Sol Planning and Turism is organised in several segments or business areas; therefore, the messages are always specialised, and the target audience varies. This requires us to be very creative and to exhaustively research the market we are targeting. In this aspect, we have created campaigns for Sun and Beaches, Golf, Luxury, Nautical and Cruises, Rural and Inland, Cultural segment, and, most notably for Congresses and Incentives in the MICE Sector.
Multi-platform creativity
Having the capacity to adapt is crucial to communicate with creativity. In a world as versatile as the tourism sector, it is important to use all the platforms at hand, so the message makes an impact. Sometimes we use a video projected on giant screens in big international fairs; other times we target the “brand ambassadors” that subsequently will spread the messages to their clients, which could be dozens of companies, all of them stakeholders in the industry, which participate and must have a place in the event and in their respective communications.
Conclusions
It is impossible to list all the campaigns and actions done in over 15 years. This is the period that we have been supporting many institutions and companies related to Costa del Sol Turism and the Málaga Provence. And it is even more difficult to choose or explain in a website the steps taken to help to turn the brand Costa del Sol into what it is now – a place that can compete with destinations like Islas Canarias, Barcelona, or Madrid. And even Sevilla or Granada with their impressive cultural offer.
Málaga and Costa del Sol have always had a unique lifestyle. With excellent infrastructures and amazing professionals. These amazing places have been the inspiration of many campaigns that later have travelled the world.
